Garrett Mallon Goldsmith

An award winning goldsmith trained in Dublin and London, Garrett creates unique contemporary sculpted jewellery using traditional skills and over 30 years’ experience at the jewellery bench. His master craftsman skills along with his signature style of combining metals and textures have created an audience for his work throughout Ireland and the rest of the world.

About Us

In addition to his jewellery collections which are available in quality outlets throughout Ireland, the UK and the USA he also creates bespoke pieces for individuals including wedding and engagement rings and remodels old jewellery into new designs. These custom jewellery projects allow Garrett to fully showcase his design skills and bring his client’s vision to reality.
Irish heritage, culture, mysticism, mythology, nature and beauty are all captured in Garrett’s unique pieces. Whether it is the beauty of an Irish summer’s day or the passion and fire of the Celtic race, Ireland continues to provide Garrett with inspiration for his stunning Irish made Jewellery.
His work has been commissioned by many including the office of the President of Ireland and has been presented to visiting dignitaries. He has participated in curated exhibitions throughout Ireland
Garrett’s workshop and the Garrett Mallon Design House are situated in Carlingford, County Louth, with the lough, shorelines and mountains a constant source of inspiration for Garrett’s work.

In 2014 Garrett moved in to his purpose built workshop and Jewellery school and opened Garrett Mallon Design House (formerly Carlingford Design House) where he wanted to provide space to showcase a curated selection of Irish craft. He now exhibits work from 100 other designer makers from across the island with the core ethos that their work is made in Ireland. Many of the featured designers are friends and colleagues of Garrett’s and he ensures that visitors to the Design House hear the story behind the pieces and the makers. There is an array of craft on display from wall art, ceramics, textiles and gift ideas to suit all.

You can visit Garrett Mallon Design house to view our jewellery and other Irish craft pieces from leading Irish designers and to attend our jewellery school.
