In January 2010 Garrett will exhibit his work in the Creative Island space at Showcase,
Ireland’s leading trade show for craft and design. The Crafts Council of Ireland is promoting Creative Island as ‘a hotspot featuring 60 of the very best of Irish craft makers and designers specially selected for their creativity, innovation and craftsmanship’

Highlights of 2009

• In 2009 Garrett was invited to join the Federation of Jewellery Manufacturers Ireland
• December 2009 – Garrett took part in the high profile Craft for Christmas campaign
  with his mistletoe decoration one of the main images used in the campaign
• November 2009 – Garrett worked with Louth Craftmark Designer’s Network on and
  exhibition for Design Week to make pieces inspired by the art work of Nano Reid and
  Gerard Dillon on display at Highlanes Gallery Drogheda.
• June 2009 – Garrett took part in Art in Action Townley Hall, County Meath for the first time

Highlights of 2008

In March 2008 Garrett was one of three craft companies short-listed for the Louth County
Enterprise Board Annual Awards in the category of Best Craft Enterprise.

In October 2008 Garrett and five other designer/makers travelled to Lapua in Finland
with Louth Craftmark on an educational exchange visit to Finish makers and demonstrated
at a Finnish Craft Fair.

In November 2008 Garrett worked with Louth Craftmark and Eddie Shanahan on the
'Craft Meets the Catwalk' second annual fashion show.
